Shop & Yard Assistant

Job Description

Crawford County, Iowa is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Shop and Yard Assistant.  This position involves a variety of shop and yard activities including: assisting mechanics with routine and major equipment repairs, keeping detailed equipment repair and maintenance records.  Coordinates shop facility maintenance and grounds keeping for the main shop and yards in Denison.  Works closely with Foreman to complete facility maintenance, repairs and grounds keeping at outlying shops and yards.  Operates a variety of heavy equipment to unload, stack and move materials and supplies.  Periodically operates snow removal equipment.  Completes a variety of additional duties as necessary.  The successful candidate must obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License.  Salary DOQ.
