Colin Johnson was appointed County Attorney in 2020 after serving as Assistant County Attorney since 2013.

Colin graduated with a degree in political science from the University of Iowa in 2008 and obtained his law degree from Drake School of Law in 2011.

Recent initiatives of the Office include active participation in the Enhanced Substance Abuse Tract court program, increasing the effectiveness of criminal prosecutions, enhancing victim services, and improving and maintaining relationships with other Crawford County departments and local agencies.
