Honor Flight

Crawford County in conjunction with County American Legion and VFW Posts are dedicated to raising funds to send eligible Veterans on Honor Flights. Brushy Creek Honor Flight, out of Fort Dodge, is the area Hub.

Once an application is received, the Veteran is placed on list (first-come, first-served basis with priority given to WWII and Korean Veterans or a Veteran with medical issues.

Currently recognized “wartime” periods are:

  • World War II  |  December 7, 1941 – December 31, 1946
  • Korean War  |  June 27, 1950 – January 31, 1955
  • Peacetime Veterans serving between Korea and Vietnam
  • Vietnam War*  |  August 5, 1964 – May 7, 1975

Brushy Creek Area Honor Flight is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
